Charlottesville Symphony presents "Pops at the Paramount"
The Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia announces "Pops at the Paramount" on Saturday, June 4, at 7:30pm, at the Paramount Theater in Charlottesville. Music Director Kate Tamarkin conducts the full symphony orchestra in a blockbuster program that includes hits from "Les Miserables" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," a suite from "Downton Abbey," Beatles tunes, selections from "South Pacific," the Overture to Leonard Bernstein's "Candide," a tribute to Irving Berlin and more. Highlighting the evening is George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" with Jeremy Thompson as the piano soloist.
