Shrewsbury Business Chamber members, potential members and other businesses are cordially invited to the Chamber's May networking evening at The Agency, London Road, Shrewsbury. The event will not only include the opportunity to mingle with other businesses and individuals in the Shrewsbury area, it also includes a presentation from Chris Taylor, Connecting Shropshire Programme Manager of Shropshire Council.           Chris Taylor has worked in local government since 1984 across a wide array of core delivery areas including Finance, ICT and Project Management. Shropshire Council, under the brand of 'Connecting Shropshire' is currently completing a £26m, Phase 1 local infrastructure project, in partnership with BDUK (Broadband Delivery UK) and British Telecommunications PLC. The project aims to deliver fibre broadband to 93% of premises in the Shropshire Council area by the end of 2016.           Members may attend the event for free, as part of their annual subscription to the Chamber; guests and non-members may still attend for the nominal fee of £5 each, to cover administration and catering.           Shrewsbury Business Chamber has been representing businesses in the Shrewsbury area since 1903, and has a dedicated executive committee which meets every month to discuss all issues affecting business in the area.
